Avenue Kabambare which runs from the Quartier Bon Marché to Avenue Étienne Tshisekedi (former oil mill) is abandoned to its sad fate. Traffic on this road has become difficult because of potholes, puddles, dilapidated water pipes, etc.
This is how the users of this road launched an appeal to the authorities for something to be done so that this avenue regains its splendor.
« This avenue is completely destroyed. Traffic is no longer fluid. We call on the authorities to get involved so that this avenue is rehabilitated. You know, a few years ago, Kabambare Avenue was one of the best avenues in the capital. We want this avenue to regain its beauty “, a pedestrian told .
Another criticized the fact that the authorities are waiting for the situation to deteriorate before they intervene.
« I have been doing my job as a driver in Kabambare for several years. I remember well at the beginning the deterioration of this avenue. I spoke on a local television channel to ask for the involvement of the authorities so that this road might be rehabilitated. The message had indeed been sent. They had decided to shun us. And here is where we are today. As a Kinshasa resident, I understand their silence well: they are waiting for the situation to deteriorate so that the millions can come out of the public treasury so that they can divert « .
It should be noted that Kabambare Avenue connects two municipalities. These are the commune of Barumbu and Kinshasa, in the district of Lukunga.
