As we know, team competitions remain the priority of the leaders and technical managers of CSMG Dieppe.

Even more so since the club chaired by Guy Roulland got into the good habit of going to the French championships and the (even) better habit of coming back with silver medals.

This season is no exception to the rule so that the course of the teams entered in Federal A is closely scrutinized by the coaches.

Also, last weekend, an important meeting took place with the interdepartments for the two Dieppe teams.

“In line with our objectives”

Always a perfectionist, but also aware of the possibilities of each gymnast, Mathilde Thomassin lucidly analyzes the performances performed.

“It is clear that we do not have the same objectives for the two groups. The flag team must go to the French championships and we will see at that time if it can play a role there. The second team, which is a brand new team formed this year, aimed to go to the national semi-finals in a division where it will also be able to do well. So, following the interdepartmentals, we are still in phase with Our goals “.

In Val-de-Reuil, it is the second team which is first in action.

It is still made up of Justine Savouray, Romane Letellier, Emma Beauval, Elise Doublet and Romane Formentin who is gradually regaining her strength following her sprain. The Dieppoises had the misfortune of starting the competition on the balance beam and several falls harmed the group’s performance in the rest of the competition.

Also, Mathilde Thomassin and Thierry Dumouchel give a mixed assessment of the final eighth place.

“Overall, the girls have progressed compared to the previous competition and we have added difficulties. This is not yet enough and we will have to add more for next time. There were some nice movements on the ground and it’s a team that complements each other on certain apparatus. The black spot remains the beam and even we, the coaches, recognize that we have not yet found the right strategy for the running order.”

There remains a month and a half of work to remedy this and present the best possible choices at the national semi-final.

For its part, the CSMG Dieppe flagship team once once more met the expectations placed on it.

Despite a logically more severe rating than at the departmental level, she flew through the competition, finishing, of course, in the lead, with the excellent total of 148.70 points and nine points ahead of the second place.

“The service is of a high level”

Léonie Thirode-Pajot, Calie Hollande, Anouck Deschamps, Léa Ledrait and Oxanna Lecoq have once once more displayed a potential that gives rise to all hopes.

“We can regret a fall on beam and a somewhat harsh judgment on bars, but overall, the performance is still of a high level. In addition, there is always good humor, cohesion, encouragement and it is interesting to perform at the highest level” mention the coaches.

The national semi-final is scheduled for the weekend of March 30 and 31 in Caen while the French championships are scheduled for May 11 and 12 in Amiens.
