The head of Events of the National Amateur Football Association (ANFA Nacional), Claudio Olivares, has spent 20 years touring Chile, with the objective of evaluating the organization and dissemination of national amateur football championships in various categories.
He spent almost two weeks in the Ñuble Region, to check the development and closure of the National Youth Championship, which on Saturday night crowned Antofagasta as champion and was categorical in its assessment.
“I thank the press, the leaders, the general public, because this championship, if not the best, has been one of the best that ANFA Nacional has had in the last 15 years. Food, accommodation, clearly, there are always details, in all nationals, but the leadership was attentive to solve them,” Olivares stressed.
The National ANFA authority explained that ANFA Chillán applied through ANFA Regional to host this contest and that it was awarded because it presented the best infrastructure conditions to receive the delegations and develop the competition. “In an expanded council, the various venues for the different tournaments are designated. It has been a great tournament. I highlight the work of the president of ANFA Ñuble (Luis Hernández) and the president of ANFA Chillán (Carlos San Martín), who were always willing to solve any problem. From 1 to 10, I would give it a 9, because in other national countries we have had problems, here only details that were corrected,” he highlighted. Finally, he left the door open to the ANFA Chillán so that it can apply for the 2025 championships, because this year all the venues are already designated for various tournaments.
