Also we wanted to share some updates regarding things that are going on around town:

The MCA employees are working to form a Union, you can sign a letter of support for them here and follow their activities here (this account also brings news of the Newberry’s new union as well as information regarding the union at the Museum of Science and Industry.

The Art Institute of Chicago Workers United, the newishly formed union at the Art Institute and School, have announced that they are having issues accessing Institutional facilities to vote on union business on their own free time.  You can follow them here to see their advocacy efforts as well as hear reports regarding the ongoing negotiations of non-tenure track faculty,

Roman Susan is continuing to try to get Loyola University to work with them to find a space for themselves as well as the other current inhabitants of their building. This week they resent their letter to try to get a response from the University, you can find that letter here and follow their efforts on Instagram here
