In 2022, the Lanaudière public health department received 1,948 STI reports for a rate of 370 per 100,000 people, compared to 440 per 100,000 for Quebec.
For the year 2023, we are talking regarding 2,029 STI declarations for a rate of 379 per 100,000 people, compared to 492 per 100,000 for Quebec.
Nearly 75% of reports received in the region are for chlamydia infections.
