AC/DC in Vienna: This is how much the tickets cost

If you wanted to get tickets for the mega event in June, you had to be quick: advance sales for the AC/DC shows on June 23rd and 26th in Vienna’s Ernst Happel Stadium started at 10 a.m. on Friday, and it was already lunchtime Most of the standing room tickets on oeticket.com are sold out. And that despite the proud price 157,20 Euro.

No more standing room available

In the early followingnoon, the date on June 23rd was completely sold out; for the concert on June 26th there were still a few seat tickets in categories 1 (around 204.20 euros) and 2 (around 184.23 euros) as well as those with restricted visibility . Even for the latter, fans have to shell out 146.63 euros. Because high demand was expected, the maximum order quantity was limited in advance to 6 tickets per person and date.

The shows are part of the “Power Up” tour, which the band announced on Monday. A total of 21 concerts are planned throughout Europe. “Power Up” is also the title of the group’s most recent studio album, which was released in 2020.

First European tour in 8 years

It is AC/DC’s first European tour in eight years, as the organizer announced. At that time, however, singer Brian Johnson had to take a break for health reasons, which is why Axl Rose from Guns N’ Roses replaced him. Now Johnson is back at the microphone, and next to him the fans can of course also expect Angus Young on lead guitar.

The band is currently completed by rhythm guitarist Stevie Young and drummer Matt Laug. According to the announcement, bassist Cliff Williams will have to be missed, although no further reasons were given for this. It is not yet clear who will replace him.

AC/DC also want to celebrate an anniversary with the concerts, as the band played their very first concert on December 31, 1973.
