It was midnight on February 15, 2024, and the government service Your e-PIT was launched. Probably a group of journalists and a number of impatient taxpayers were waiting for the clock to hit zero to be the first to check this year’s version of Your PIT. Were you able to log in without any technical problems?

It seems that while things were quite good at night and in the early morning, the servers became more overloaded and I currently have no access to the service. An attempt to access the website ends with the message: “This site is unreachable. The www.podatki.gov.pl server needed too much time to respond.“

Those impatient people, curious regarding the amount of tax refund from their PIT declaration, who had not yet received PIT-11 information from the employer, waited until midnight on February 15 to be able to view their settlement generated by the systems of the National Tax Administration.

Two people from the PIT.pl editorial office tried to log in. And it probably wasn’t a big surprise for any of them that following logging in, they saw the following message on the epit.podatnik.gov.pl website:The service is unavailable.” To be more precise – I managed to log in to the e-Tax Office, but not immediately go to the tab with the generated PIT.

There is nothing surprising regarding this. Every year, at the beginning of the service, there are minor or major technical problems. A year ago I also moved in with this. Logging in to your e-PIT is like a lottery. There are problems and overloaded servers
However, success belongs to the persistent. Third time lucky. Once the service’s welcome page following logging in was loaded, the third time your generated e-PIT was also loaded, although it took a while. And it was already 1:25.

We’ll see what the morning brings, because then usually more people went to collect your e-PIT.
