Hajjaj works for a doctor called Mu’nis (Abdulaziz Makhyoun), and it turns out in the story that the doctor was one of the intellectuals arrested who opposed Sadat in September 1981.
The doctor grants part of the land of his villa in Maadi so that Hajjaj can set up a shop where he sells fruit, and he calls it Shop Shehata.
Shehata suffers from the influence of his brothers and their ill-treatment of him due to their intense jealousy of him. A state of tension arises between the family’s three half-siblings following the death of their father, which ends with the youngest being imprisoned on charges of forgery, and his brother’s forced marriage to his fiancée, so he can leave prison in search of his brothers who are escaping from him following they stole his inheritance and his fiancée before. That one of them shot him dead at the end of the events.
