Helldivers II and its simultaneous release on PS5 and PC have been such a success that Sony saw a clearer path to making its next first-party game multi-platform from day one. Arrowhead Studios is also celebrating the success of its action game, but they don’t plan on letting up any time soon. In fact, they hope to speed up plans to add content to the game.
Studio head Johan Pilestedt on Twitter/X announced News announcing plans to hire more talented developers to accelerate and enhance Helldivers II’s content roadmap. Considering the unfortunate circumstances of thousands of workers being laid off over the past few months, we imagine these jobs at Arrowhead will be filled quickly.
And we won’t have to wait long to see the game still running and polishing off existing content. Earlier today, Patch 1.000.006 The release, while not very extensive, does touch on some very annoying performance bugs and game “crashes.” Here are the patch notes:
- Fixed an issue where the app would crash when closing shortly following launch
- The game no longer crashes during extraction cutscenes.
- User profiles with too many friends no longer cause a crash.
- Fixed a crash when using text-to-speech during extraction cutscenes
- The game no longer crashes when the user disconnects during a cutscene.
- Operation status in task summary no longer causes a crash.
- Fixed a crash caused by visual effects left behind by a disconnected player.
- The game no longer crashes when using ADS.
- Fixed an instability in game data packaging that caused patch size to increase.
- Improved backend connectivity, reducing the likelihood of disconnections during missions.
- Improve the matchmaking experience and likelihood of success.
Thanks, VGC。
