“What we saw yesterday was the culmination of an entire fraud”: Ronal Umaña 2024-02-15 06:42:26

This Monday in the Encuentro interview with Julio Villagrán, the political analyst, Ronal Umaña considered that the country has the worst Supreme Electoral Court since the peace agreements, which in his opinion allowed the Central Government to manage the elections, also pointing out that it was of no use for them to be the highest electoral authority in the country.

“What we saw yesterday was the culmination of an entire fraud that they had been preparing for a year. A conspiracy to commit a crime by the Supreme Electoral Tribunalâ€he stated.

Umaña pointed out that the country is heading towards a dictatorship following the presidential and deputy elections of the Legislative Assembly, which is why an entire fraud was orchestrated to eliminate the opposition, since he assured that a dictatorship is not allowed, and a clear example is Nicaragua, where all of Daniel Ortega’s opponents are in jail and even priests are persecuted.

For the political analyst, the country is experiencing the end of a political cycle in which the party system has collapsed and an internal conflict will begin where the current leaders will be accused of the failure that has been experienced.

Given this, he considered it important to create new political parties with trained people and internal political schools.

Finally, Umaña reaffirmed that the country is economically bankrupt and what has been saving the Salvadoran economy are remittances, since the nation’s productivity and production “is at rock bottom.”

“There are people who are only eating twice a day, but that has been replaced by propaganda, this Government has been working on people’s minds for a long time,” he added.
