Aftonbladet can reveal that Kishti Tomita is being forced out of the “Idol” jury.

She says that TV4 has decided to change the jury composition.

– It is their decision, and it must be up to them.

Aftonbladet can reveal that TV4 has chosen to make the next season of the 20th anniversary talent program “Idol” without Kishti Tomita in the jury. When Aftonbladet reaches her, she talks regarding TV4’s decision.

– TV4 has found a new creative blueprint for 2024 and they have decided to make a completely new jury constellation this year.

Should everyone on the jury quit?

– I have no idea regarding that. I can only speak for myself.

Why is TV4 doing this?

– I do not know. I just think they have looked at new possibilities. They probably want to find a new way for “Idol”, but I can’t say what their thoughts are. But from what they have let me understand, they want to find a new creative path.

So you didn’t choose to drop out?

– They have made a creative decision to redo the jury. But it is their decision, and it must be up to them.

How does it feel?

– We had a great time, but I don’t want to go into feelings. I have a great deal of respect for our collaboration and I hope we will continue to work at another time. I have loads of stuff I want to do. So now you have to put on new adventure pants.

Kishti Tomita is one of the original members of the “Idol” jury. When the program started, she decided the fate of the participants together with Peter Swartling, Claes “Clabbe” by Geijerstam and Daniel Breitholtz. After four seasons, she left the show, but for season 13, she returned once more in 2017 following a ten-year absence and has been on the jury until now.

Bagge: “It feels empty”

Aftonbladet has been in contact with the jury member Anders Bagge who comments on Kishti Tomita’s sorti.

– Kishti has come to be an extremely good friend of mine and of course I think it feels empty.

Will you stay behind?

– As it looks, I will remain on the jury.

Katia Mosally also confirms that she will remain on the panel.

“You are irreplaceable and will always be part of the Idol family. I promise I will channel your “unreasonable” (and maybe even some “hallelujah moment”) if someone comes in this year who deserves it,” she writes in a post on Instagram.

TV4: We want to thank you for eleven fantastic years

In a comment to Aftonbladet, TV4 says:

– First of all, we want to thank Kishti for eleven fantastic years in the Idol jury. Idol is constantly working to change and innovate, and this year’s season is no exception. Idol has its 20th anniversary this year and we look forward to presenting the season’s news further on, says Malin Knavewho is the executive producer of the show.

Aftonbladet is looking for the other jury member Alexander Kronlund.
