The consulting firm PWC reported that the salaries of Salvadorans have experienced a growth of 5.6% during the year 2023, a higher increase than the 4.1% that was registered in 2022.
“In the Salvadoran labor market there are sectors of the economy that have a dynamic of greater competitiveness in terms of attracting and retaining talent, which is reflected in continuous salary growth year following year,” stated the manager of Compensation Consulting & Benefits of PwC El Salvador, Gloria Ruano.
It should be noted that the data presented by the survey are similar to the latest report presented by the Salvadoran Social Security Institute (ISSS), which indicates that, until March of this year, the average salary in the country was $564; therefore, higher than the $558 recorded at the beginning of the year.
