The Central Reserve Bank (BCR) predicts that the Salvadoran economy will grow by 2.6% in 2023, driven by an increase in the development of public and private investment projects and by the energizing effect that the improvement in security has had in various activities. .
«In other conferences we had said that El Salvador was going to grow between 2% and 3%. Now, with more recent information, we confirm that El Salvador will grow 2.6%, which is higher than the average of the last 30 years, which was 2.1%,” said the head of the BCR, Douglas Rodríguez.
Rodríguez detailed that in the second quarter, the country registered an increase of 3% in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), thanks to the growth in 17 of the 19 economic activities in the country.
