Moscow Spartak won the RPL Winter Cup, beating Kairat in the last round. “Spartak” won a crushing victory over Kazakhstan’s “Kairat” and became the winner of the RPL Winter Cup. The tournament was held in Abu Dhabi, and in addition to Spartak and Kairat, Rostov and Shabab Al-Ahli from the UAE took part in the cup.
Two quick goals by Alexander Sobolev and Anton Zinkovsky created a comfortable advantage for the “red-whites” at the very beginning of the game. Daniil Khlusevich brought the score to a major one 10 minutes following the start of the second half. In the 60th minute of the match, Quincy Promes and Victor Moses appeared on the field. The Dutch forward scored a brace, and the Nigerian set the final score, taking advantage of the inconsistency between the goalkeeper and defender.
Promes scored one of the goals following a beautiful play and subsequent assist from Spartak newcomer Manfred Ugalde. Captain Georgy Dzhikia also took part in the match. The central defender replaced Srdjan Babic in the 78th minute.
