Super Bowl. New Beyoncé songs. Album announcement – when will we hear the sequel to Renaissance?

Beyoncé announced the release of a new album during Sunday’s Super Bowl. The singer shared the news just following an advertisement featuring her was broadcast during the break of the NFL final. She also shared two songs from the upcoming album.

The NFL Super Bowl final took place on Sunday in Los Angeles. Beyoncé showed up with her husband Jay-Z and daughters Blue Ivy and Rumi. As every year, advertising was an important part of the event, which broke viewership records in the United States. Although many of them featured star performances, none gained as much publicity as the American wireless operator’s spot featuring Beyoncé. The 90-second video showed the artist trying to break the Internet connection in various ways. At the end, in a last attempt to “spoil the Internet”, the singer announced the release of new music.

Just following the ad ended, two new Beyoncé songs were released online. The songs titled “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” and “16 CARRIAGES” are to be part of the artist’s upcoming album. Its premiere is scheduled for March 29 – indicates the announcement posted by the singer on social media.

Beyoncé’s new country album

It is believed that Beyoncé’s latest album will be in a country style, reports the BBC, adding that the album is to be the first of two planned sequels to the Renaissance album. The album, released in July 2022, brought the artist the 32nd Grammy Award in her career.

According to Live Nation’s estimates, the concert tour organized to promote Renaissance earned over $579 million worldwide (equivalent to over PLN 2.3 billion), Variety reports.
