Books – Mahmoud Mustafa Abu Talib:
Dr. Al-Sayyid Abdel Bari, a scholar of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, responded to the recent criticism directed at the artist Mahmoud Amer because of his marriage to a young girl, following he was nearly 70 years old, following pictures of him were circulated on social media.
The artist Mahmoud Amer was subjected to criticism from social media pioneers, following he got married at the age of 68.
Abdul-Bari said during his interview with the program “With the People” on Al-Nas TV, that some people like to share with their friends and relatives via social media the blessings that God Almighty has bestowed upon them, in order for any of them to pray for success and success.
Abdel-Bari continued: “There is an exaggeration in this issue to the point that the most intimate secrets of homes are being published on these sites, and we get upset and say why do people interfere with our privacy, but I’m sorry, forgive me. Who published our privacy? We, with our own hands, are the ones who published the privacy.”
He added: “There is no objection to me imagining a nice picture of me and my children in a nice place and a beautiful party and sharing the community with me. By God, if people participate in a negative participation, God will finish the matter before and following, and if they participate in a positive participation, then may God reward them well. They were happy for my joy, and sad for my sadness, and here it is.” Some people make silly comments.”
The Al-Azhari scholar wondered: What is the problem when someone gets married, performs Hajj, or gets a prestigious job at a late age? People keep saying, “How?” There is no such thing as “How.” Be satisfied with what God has divided for you, and you will be the richest of people, and do not interfere in the divine decree, because life is a phrase. About successive events, in which we were created by God Almighty and we will continue to work as long as the sweat beats and the breath hesitates, and as long as my breath hesitates, our Lord Almighty will continue to renew blessings upon me.
Abdul-Bari revealed that anyone who makes negative comments on social media is a sinner, adding: “Why do people interfere in these matters in the first place? And our Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Whoever believes in God and the Last Day, let him say good or remain silent.”
Abdul-Bari gave advice to the pioneers of social networking sites, saying: “If you have a kind comment, a word of comfort, or an effective participation, say, ‘Even if you do not have it and your soul is moved once morest you, seek forgiveness from God Almighty and turn away from negative thinking, for that is the surest thing for your religion.’”
