Educational technology provides innovations in school environments, transforming the experiences of teachers and students. Over the years, schools began to invest more and more in digital teaching tools to improve learning, and in the city of Boituva/SP, it was no different.
From now on, EMEF Prof. Eney De Oliveira Moraes Campos has two new solutions: ALT, focused on early literacy and the development of children on the autism spectrum; and the Magic Club, a complete bilingual education system that, at school, will support the teaching of English.
With a playful approach and student-centered methodologies, the idea is to bring technology to the daily lives of elementary school students, always placing them as protagonists in their learning process.
Bilingual teaching
Magic Club offers an app with educational games to increase engagement and interest. In addition, it also has resources such as books, video classes and interdisciplinary projects to promote fluency in English in a light and interactive way.
According to Moisés Bernardo Rossi, CEO of MBR Educational TechnologyEdTech responsible for creating and implementing products, Magic Club represents a significant change in English teaching, offering tools so that students can become truly bilingual individuals.
At the Eney municipal school, the Magic Club will support the teaching of the English language, but the system has a complete curriculum, with the possibility of application with the aim of making a school, or education network, fully bilingual.
School inclusion
The municipal school also adopted ALT, an application that improves the child literacy process and assists in the development of children on the autism spectrum. With different levels of activities and exercises that work with repetition, the software’s focus is on communication, socialization, cognition and affectivity, helping to promote school inclusion.
Support for educators
To ensure the success of the initiatives, educators will go through a detailed training process, aiming at a complete understanding of the solutions and their integration into the school curriculum.
According to the Secretary of Education of Boituva, Vilma Moraes de Arruda Soares, investing in teacher training is as important as in new implementations.
Therefore, the first training has already been carried out, and teachers were able to learn more regarding Magic Club’s features and teaching methodology, in addition to obtaining tips and guidance for use within educational planning.
With new technologies, educators will also be able to monitor student performance even more closely, on a platform with detailed information regarding each student’s performance, allowing for a more personalized and effective approach.
Technology room
Seeking to further expand the school experience, a Technology Room was also implemented. With state-of-the-art equipment, such as a digital whiteboard, tablets and digital table, the Technology Room is an environment capable of improving engagement, and the use of educational games can be centralized in a single location, if the school prefers.
The city’s mayor, Edson Marcusso, highlighted the importance of the project for the evolution of children who, nowadays, are already born into this digital universe, also announcing the expansion of solutions to other schools in the municipal network.
For the CEO of MBR Educational Technology“these initiatives represent an important step in the transformation of education in the city, providing new opportunities for learning and growth”.
