Don’t start regarding it Taylor Swift if you would like to have a short conversation with me. I might talk regarding this woman for hours. Don’t even start regarding it Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Every time a photo of these two comes out, I have to have at least two hour-and-a-half conversations to process all the feelings it brings up. Now of course I’m not the only one. But to understand why this couple creates so many feelings, we first have to go back in time.
Joe Alwyn
In the wake of the Kim and Kanye video controversy Taylor Swift completely cut off from the outside world. According to her, it is one of the darkest periods of her life. During this period she met Joe Alwyn and they have been officially in a relationship since 2017. They deliberately keep this relationship private and are only spotted together occasionally. Something that offers her a lot of peace at that moment. But as is often the case in relationships, the reason they get together is the reason they break up.
A diamond’s gotta shine
What exactly happened between the two is not known, but from her texts we can conclude the following: she adapted for him, while he refused to do so. You’re Losing Me, Tolerate It in Bejeweled reflect this feeling. A month following the Eras Tour kicks off, and Taylor has reached a new peak in her career, the news comes out that they have broken up. Perhaps a surprise to the outside world, but a logical conclusion for the observant swiftie.
Enter: Travis Kelce
After a relationship of six years, in which you are hidden and someone does not want to be seen with you, suddenly there is Travis Kelce. He comes out openly crush on Taylor. For example, he says in his podcast that he made a friendship bracelet with his number to give to her. Although he was unable to give this, Taylor finds out regarding this and decides to give him a chance. On September 24, 2023 we see her for the first time at a Kansas City Chiefs game and we see them drive away together in the getaway car.
Courtesy lasts the longest
Besides the fact that Travis is of course a huge hunk, it is the way he interacts with her that makes him so incredibly attractive. He shows that he is extremely impressed by her. He thinks she is intelligent and super talented. Even if someone asks regarding her for the hundredth time, he continues to answer in a respectful manner. He doesn’t let go of her hand, not even to open a door. For Swifties, Travis Kelce is a true blessing. Finally there is someone who not only knows he is dating Taylor Swift, he is proud of it.
Taylor & the NFL
Of course, not everyone is happy with the attention Taylor and Travis are receiving. American Football-fans think Taylor gets too much attention during matches. Now I have to admit that, especially on social media, they can go crazy with Taylor content. But if you consider that Taylor Swift means an extra 300 million dollars in profit for the NFL, that is of course not surprising.
For the NFL, it has not been regarding the sport for a long time, but regarding the money. So you’re not so much angry at Taylor, but at capitalism. Now I have to admit that I also cringe at the Chiefs press conferences where they ask regarding Taylor. Of course, that’s what Travis’ career is all regarding. I don’t think what his favorite song is has much to do with it.
Is it PR?
Another anti-Trayvis sound I often encounter is that a PR relationship is. Now I’ve seen them both act and they can’t act that well. It seems to me that this is the case, but let’s assume for a moment that it is a fake relationship: So what? What ever broke you so much in your life that you can’t enjoy it? All I see is two very good-looking people in love with successful careers. Jealous? Grow up.
De Taylor Bowl
Especially the photos of Taylor on Travis during the Chiefs’ last game gave me a very warm feeling inside. It’s clear how incredibly in love they are with each other. Tonight is the Super Bowl and it is almost certain that Taylor Swift will be there and fly back from Japan. Now there are rumors that if the Chiefs win, Travis will propose to Taylor. This seems a bit exaggerated to me. They haven’t been together for that long and besides, is this really the place where you want to be proposed to? Proposal or not, I hope Taylor can be there, just because it would make a lot of fragile men very angry.
