In September 2007, the then 15-year-old Arigona Zogaj and her family became known throughout Austria. To avoid deportation to Kosovo, the girl went into hiding for 15 days.
The now 32-year-old has been an Austrian citizen for six months, as the “Salzburger Nachrichten” reports. Arigona Zogaj studied business law, graduated with a bachelor’s degree and, according to SN, works in the insurance industry.
The debate regarding the right to remain for the Zogaj family was intense 15 years ago. In 2010, the family voluntarily left for Kosovo, and four months later Arigona Zogaj and other family members returned. In 2012, she and her siblings received temporary visas with a settlement permit.
