Summery vibes in the Fluc tub: “Mar Malade” not only lit up the stage but also the minds!

My initial situation was as follows: I was incredibly stressed and annoyed and wanted a distraction in the form of a concert and then the performance of “Mar Malade” in the Fluc Wanne was just right for me! I wasn’t expecting a rush and didn’t really know which target group the band was targeting, but I knew a member of the duo from before (from another band) and was curious to see what his new project was like. said and done!

When I finally entered the fluc tub, I was very surprised: there were already an incredible number of people there. I quickly scurried to the front rows to secure a spot. The concert room became more and more full over time and was almost bursting at the seams as a support act “ceci“ entered the stage.

I didn’t expect much from “ceci” either, but I was taught better. She sang really beautiful, tender songs with her silky-smooth voice – and I was a little ashamed that I didn’t trust her to do that. She accompanied herself on the guitar and created a very reverent atmosphere. At the beginning the audience was very attentive, but unfortunately the attention gradually dwindled. That was a shame – because their music invited daydreaming, and it worked brilliantly for me: I saw “Ceci” performing in my mind’s eye at an early summer garden party under trees with fairy lights and immediately felt relaxed. thank you ceci!

and then the duo sprinted “Tue sicktogether with her band on their summery stage. Summery design mainly because of the parasol that was placed in the middle. And then they started their performance and were able to inspire from the start with their very own mix of music – somewhere between indie pop and a leaning towards folk.

This concert actually felt like a little trip to the south from start to finish, even though we were only in the dark fluc tub. “Mar Malade” exuded a sun-kissed, good mood and transferred this incredibly well to their audience, who in turn danced, smiled and cheered. My bad mood disappeared more and more and I let myself be carried away more and more by these very motivated and talented musicians.

What was also nice: the whole undertaking on stage was peppered with small and large highlights! For a song, support act “Ceci” came back to the stage to perform a wonderful song with the duo “Mar Malade”. For another song, the audience was asked to clap along wildly, and once a circle was even formed to make room for a chosen couple to dance.

Song-wise, I remembered the Coldplay cover “Clocks” and of course the hit “Mexico” at the very end – it was crazy what was going on on and in front of the stage! and then this summer evening in winter was over once more and I was really surprised and pleased at how much fun this mar malade gig had brought me. So if Mar Malade ever has a concert near you and you’re in a bad mood – please definitely go!
