realme has promised the launch of the realme C67 5G here in the Brazilian market and the company recently revealed that the device should arrive in Brazil later this month.

However, the Chinese company also has another model that is very popular in the national market and is already being sold through importers: the realme C67 4G.

This device was recently launched with an eye-catching design, Snapdragon chipset and 108 MP main camera.

Is it a good deal to buy this basic 4G cell phone? That’s what we’re going to discover in this quick hands-on.

Design and construction

The realme C67 4G is a smartphone that has a very good visual language for its category. It abandons that glitter or super shiny effect of other predecessor models in favor of something more sober.

This is a positive aspect, as there is a camera module on the rear that is slightly protruding and has two sensors with an LED flash.

As we are talking regarding a device designed to be affordable, the realme C67 4G has a plastic construction to cut costs and the flat frame helps with the grip. Its weight is just 185 grams.

The C67 4G also has a tray for two SIM chips and a MicroSD card on the side, a USB-C 2.0 port and a main speaker, as well as a P2 port for wired headphones at the bottom.

The fingerprint reader is located under the power button and it works very well, even when your finger is slightly wet.

In the box, the company sends manuals, charging cable, chip removal key, protective case and also a charger.

Screen and hardware

The realme C67 4G was launched with a 6.72-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD Plus resolution and support for a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz.

The maximum brightness reaches 950 nits and this is more than enough to deliver an acceptable experience in brightly lit places. Furthermore, the color pattern displayed by the panel is good when we take LCD technology into account.

The only negative point is that sometimes the software drastically reduces the refresh rate to 60 Hz due to the low processing power of the chipset. We can notice this in applications like Telegram.

The realme C67 4G also has stereo sound and has a good balance between mids and highs, losing a little bass due to cost cutting.

The platform chosen by realme is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685, which is already somewhat old and feels the weight of age.

For daily use in messengers, social networks and multimedia consumption, this chipset should do the job, with some delay in opening heavier applications, for example.

Casual games are also good and you will, yes, be able to play some titles during leisure time. In the version we tested, we have 8 GB of RAM and a generous 256 GB of internal storage.

In terms of autonomy, the realme C67 offers a 5,000 mAh battery, with support for 33 Watt fast charging. By using it more restrainedly, the user can easily reach the end of the day with around 40% battery power.

Furthermore, for those with lighter usage, we are sure that the battery will last two days. The chipset doesn’t consume much and the software is well optimized.

Software

The realme C67 4G comes out of the box with Android 14 running under the realme UI interface, but it is interesting to note that, apparently, the manufacturer has eased up on the software.

This is because we find on the device a series of details, icons and menus that resemble a closer to pure Android. Most likely, these cuts to realme UI were made to optimize performance.

This worked very well. The animations are not extremely agile, but they are good and there is also a nice fluidity to the navigation.

Another important point is that realme offers the “mini capsule” feature on this device, something similar to what we have on iPhones with the dynamic island. With this, you can see information such as the music playing, weather data and much more.

As for the software policy, the realme C67 4G is expected to receive two major Android updates and an extra year of security packages. In practice, it goes up to Android 16.

Cmeras

The realme C67 has a 108 MP main camera and a 2 MP secondary sensor, with only one actually taking all the images.

In everyday life, we can say that the main camera performs relatively well for its price range.

In scenarios considered ideal, such as sunny days or well-lit environments, we have photos with good detail registration, colors close to reality and little noise.

In indoor spaces or in night photos, there is clearly a drop in quality with a lot of noise and some blur, but it is still acceptable so you can post on social networks, since the software calibrates well and delivers “ok” results.

The camcorder shoots videos in 1080p at 30 fps and lacks more optimized stabilization, as it is purely electronic.

Another cool highlight is that it is possible to take photos with zoom up to 3 times, but remember that it is completely digital.

On the other hand, the front camera is 8 MP and delivers decent selfies for sharing on messengers or posts. Still, this sensor also records videos at 1080p.

First impressions

The realme C67 4G is, indeed, a good smartphone for those on a tight budget. It has an attractive design, stereo sound, good autonomy and cameras that deliver ok results.

Among the negative points, I can mention the “tired” chipset, which cuts the refresh rate at times, and the insistence on using only a 2 MP sensor on the rear.

An ultrawide sensor, even with an 8 MP resolution, would be much more useful to the user. Moving on to prices, within our offers platform we can find the realme C67 4G starting at R$1,000 for the version with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.

8 GB with 256 GB is in the range of R$ 1,250, something that is even good if you are looking for a basic cell phone for someone who has lighter use or even a secondary device.

But of course you can also prefer the Moto G84 or Galaxy A24, which feature an OLED and AMOLED screen and a set of cameras that are also competent for this price range.

The realme C67 4G is not yet available in Brazilian stores. To be notified when it arrives.
