On the night of February 10-11, Russia carried out drone attacks once morest Kiev and southern Ukraine, the Ukrainian military said on Sunday. At least one civilian was injured, and a gas pipeline and residential buildings in the Mykolaiv river and sea port were affected, Reuters reported, citing reports from various official representatives.

Late on Friday (February 9) evening, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with Shahed drones. In this attack, seven civilians in Kharkiv were killed, including three children, 15 private properties were destroyed, and 50 Kharkiv residents were evacuated.

This morning, the Air Force of Ukraine reported on Telegram that its air defense systems destroyed 40 of the 45 Shahed attack drones launched by Russia last night.

“The air alert in the capital lasted for almost two hours,” Sergey Popko, head of the Kyiv military administration, said in Telegram.

He added that over Kiev, all drones were shot down upon their approach. According to preliminary information, there were no injuries or damage in the capital and its vicinity. Shortly before 4 a.m., the sky over Kiev was declared clear.

The Southern Military Command of Ukraine informed in Telegram that its air defense systems were activated for more than five hours and destroyed 26 Russian-launched Shahed drones over several southern regions, mainly over Mykolaiv region near Cherno Black sea. The enemy’s priority was once once more the coastal strip of infrastructure and agro-industrial facilities, the statement added.

According to reports from the military command, falling debris from a downed drone and the blast wave damaged residential buildings and a gas pipeline in Mykolaiv, and 4 drones were shot down over the Black Sea port of Odessa.
