The topic of who will head the foreign ministry is not a domestic matter, it is not a matter of someone’s personal whim, but a legitimate structural interest in finding the right balance in a subsequent edition of the rotational government – to construct foreign policy communication in such a way that this not to lead to additional stresses in the structure. This was stated by the co-chairman of “Democratic Bulgaria” Hristo Ivanov before BNR.

A few days ago, Boyko Borisov talked regarding early elections if the post is not left for GERB following the rotation. Now Ivanov comments that Maria Gabriel’s interest in continuing her successful work as foreign minister is absolutely objective and legitimate.

The co-chairman of PP-DB recommended that the matter be left to Nikolay Denkov and Maria Gabriel.

“Yes, Bulgaria” will evaluate the degree of its support to the cabinet

In his words, it is very important to talk regarding what the stated priorities and commitments for reforms will be following the change of prime ministers in March: “In order for my party “Yes, Bulgaria” to assess the degree of support, commitment to the next edition of the rotational formula, we need to get a clear answer to the question – to what extent we can expect in the next 9 months the next stage of judicial reform, the new Law on the Judiciary, to be implemented and with what major political priorities set in this regard.”

When asked if the country is going to 2 in 1 elections, Ivanov answered that it depends on whether we will be able to “saturate the next edition of the heavy compromises we otherwise make with thought.”

Borisov talked regarding early elections and hardened the tone towards “We continue the change”

However, he allowed such a possibility: “If we are responsible and politically mature, there is no reason to go to elections. But if we show that we cannot make sense through the right ambitions and priorities for the existence of this government in the future, the honest thing is to turn to the voters and let them say what to do from now on.”

“Autopsy” of the criminal structure surrounding Martin Bojanov

At the beginning of the conversation, Ivanov also commented on the murder of Martin Bojanov-Notariusa.

“Here, a much larger autopsy must be done, not just on the corpse, on the individual criminal structure, but on everything, as an institutional context, that made this possible,” stated Hristo Ivanov. Earlier today, President Rumen Radev requested an operation in the institutions entangled in addictions, because of the activities of Martin Bojanov-Notary.

According to Ivanov, this “autopsy” should be done by the parliament. This is a fundamental issue that has its political dimensions, the deputy emphasized. He reminded that the experience of the work of such commissions has shown that they encounter certain limitations. That is why he believes that the legislative framework that can overcome them should be considered, so that materials that are subject and can be covered in the form of investigative secrecy, become public in the presence of public interest.

According to Hristo Ivanov, the murder of Bojanov can and should become a moment of truth for the entire model of influence, exploitation once morest the law of the judiciary. “It is very important for the National Assembly to show will and shed light on all aspects of this case,” he added, quoted by BNR.
