Coaching evaluations
Srdjan Blagojević: – From a coaching point of view, we played a stressful match. The match can be divided into two parts: We completely dominated the match until the first goal, and we created many chances in the first 20 minutes. After that, however, the match became quite chaotic, which I don’t like. I have mixed feelings, I’m a bit sad and I can’t be satisfied because we wanted to win. At the same time, all things considered, you can be satisfied that we didn’t lose the game in the end. We came from 2-0 down, which requires quality and character, I would like to praise the players for this.
I like it when we dominate the game throughout the game, but it often happens that we make an individual or team error and give the opponent a goal as a gift. At the same time, we performed well in certain stages of the match, read the game well and took advantage of the available areas. I don’t want anyone to blame him, I stand by Megyeri, he is a good man, a good goalkeeper despite his mistakes, this is also part of the job of goalkeepers.
Miklós Simon: – First of all, I would like to praise the players, because they fully fulfilled what we asked of them. In the first 10-15 minutes, we didn’t play the way we wanted and prepared for, so the opponent created several opportunities. Fortunately, we managed to sort out the lines followingwards, and we got to positions.
I am very proud and happy with the game of our two youngsters, but not only that, but it looks good that they both scored a goal. In the second half, we managed to talk through what didn’t work before. The guys reacted well, we were able to score goals.
Debrecen has the quality, who can be dangerous from anywhere, Balázs Dzudzsák scored a beautiful goal. The fact that we had to finish the match with 10 men didn’t help either, but I was able to replace quality forwards who still got into situations. Unfortunately, we mightn’t close the match because we mightn’t score the third goal, which football punishes by law. By the end, we ran out of steam, got stuck and, to my great regret, we conceded the second goal.
Everyone asks if I’m happy with the one point, to which I replied that DVTK is a good team, I came here to win, which we didn’t succeed in today, but luckily we still have an opportunity to prove it this week. We took a point away from a quality team, we might have been happy, but if we stayed at 11 I’m sure we would have kept our lead.
I have been to Debrecen many times, but I have never seen the guest sector so full. You can hear in my voice that it was difficult to communicate with my team because we were playing in such a noisy environment. Such is the real football atmosphere. I would like to thank the fans not only for their encouragement throughout the match, but also for the positive impulses they gave the guys at the end, which gave them a lot.
