(CNN)– Sources told the network CNNOn Friday, he is expected to visit the director of the CIA (CIA) William Burns, Cairo, Egypt, to attend a meeting held Tuesday regarding negotiations related to the hostages held in Gaza..

A source stated that Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Israeli Intelligence Director (Mossad) David Barnea are also expected to attend.

In a related context, a delegation from the Hamas movement headed by leader Khalil al-Hayya left Cairo following talks regarding a possible ceasefire in Gaza, a high-ranking Hamas member told CNN.

The Hamas member, who did not reveal any details regarding the talks, said that they left as planned because the discussions had ended.

It is noteworthy that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, on Wednesday, rejected Hamas’ ceasefire proposals, describing them as “fake”, in a setback for diplomatic efforts to stop the war.

Speaking to reporters, Netanyahu insisted that “there is no alternative to complete victory over Hamas.”
