On February 5, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center said that from February 10 to 12 (the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd days of the Lunar New Year Giap Thin), the Center will be open to welcome the community. People and domestic tourists can visit relic sites belonging to the Hue Monuments Complex for free.
The Hue Monuments Conservation Center will also organize many cultural and artistic activities, folk and ancient royal games at the Hue Imperial Palace heritage site for visitors to experience spring fun.
In particular, this year’s Lunar New Year, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center will open its doors to welcome visitors to the two relics of Kien Trung Palace and Thai Hoa Palace at the Hue Citadel.
Currently, the project to restore and embellish Kien Trung palace relics has completed the final steps and is being cleaned up to welcome visitors in the first days of the new year.
Kien Trung Palace is a palace with a different architecture compared to other buildings in the Hue Imperial Palace area, because of the combination of Italian Renaissance architecture, French architecture and the architecture of ancient Vietnamese buildings. . The Kien Trung electricity restoration and renovation project was started in 2019, with a total investment cost of regarding 123 billion VND.
The overall renovation project of Thai Hoa Palace has now basically completed the restoration of the architecture, the erection of the wooden frame system, the roof structure system, the alignment of the frame system, and the construction of the seed section is underway. Roof system, installation of copper gutters… The value of the project volume has reached regarding 80%.
The overall renovation project of Thai Hoa palace has a total investment of 150 billion VND, expected to be completed by the end of 2024. During the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin, this monument also welcomes visitors to learn and admire. regarding wooden architecture typical of ancient royal courts. During the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd days of the Lunar New Year every year, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center welcomes more than 50,000 visitors to visit relics of the Hue Monuments Complex for free.
