The fact that Mohanlal was in the film was a secret and we were afraid of him: Kamal
Peruvannapuram Visheshmane is an evergreen Malayalam film directed by Kamal.
Mohanlal also made a guest appearance in the movie which had a big star cast including Jayaram, Parvathy, Jagathy and finally Unnikrishnan, Innocent, KPAC Lalitha.
But Kamal says that Mohanlal was cast in the film without the knowledge of anyone outside and that he was afraid of PR Vazhoor Jose.
In an interview to Kaumudi Movies, he said that before Mohanlal’s shoot, he called Jose and discussed things.
“The funny thing was when the film was released, no one knew that Mohanlal was acting in the film. There is no social media like today. The only thing we were afraid of that day was Vazhur Jose. Because Vazhur Jose was also a P.R.O. Vazhoor Jose is the PRO in every movie.
I am sure that once Jose finds out regarding this, he will make it a news story and put it in some publication. There are many magazines. Even if it comes to Nana, everyone will know. The first thing I said was to shut that Vazhur Jose’s mouth.
Before the shooting started, I called Jose to the set just before Lal came. I told Jose that I have something to say, I trust only you and no one else. I’m sure this information will get out no matter who else I tell, that’s why I’m telling Jose, Mohanlal is in this movie.
Jose heard that and asked with surprise if Mohanlal was there. I said the thing. I said don’t let this information out, I’m sure Jose won’t let it out but I’ll leak it.
Jose understood. Jose laughs and says I won’t tell anyone. Then it became Vazhur Jose’s need to ensure that the information did not leak out,’ says Kamal.
