“We want to support family-run tourism businesses, maintain their identity and improve the framework conditions”
Vienna (OTS) – “Basically, the spatial planning policy in Tyrol has failed miserably because investor hotels have not yet been banned – this model is a sale of apartments through the back door,” said FPÖ tourism spokesman NAbg. Gerald Hauser on the multi-million dollar series of bankruptcies of the Dutch hotel operator group Oasis, which operated a hotel in Westendorf, Ehrwald and Seefeld as investor hotels in Tyrol.
“It is incomprehensible that this investor model, which is ultimately nothing more than a leisure residence model through the back door, is not banned. “The ever-increasing sell-off through dubious financing and investor models should have been put to a stop long ago,” emphasized Hauser, who has often discussed this issue in parliament.
“Therefore, family-run tourism businesses in Tyrol must be supported so that the identity of Tyrol is preserved. We want to support family-run tourism businesses, maintain their identity and improve the framework conditions by finally strengthening equity capital and reducing non-wage labor costs,” demanded the FPÖ tourism spokesman.
