According to German media, Marco Grüll will play for German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen from next season. According to consistent reports first from “Deichstube” and then from Sky on Saturday, the 25-year-old has already signed a contract with the Hanseatic League. Grüll’s contract with Rapid expires in the summer, so he can move to Weser for free.
The winger was linked to Mainz and Union Berlin during the winter transfer period, but an immediate transfer did not materialize.
