Carl Weatherswho played the arrogant boxer Apollo Creed in the first four films of the saga Rocky junto a Sylvester Stallone, died at 76as confirmed by his manager Matt Luber.
Weathers also co-starred Predator with Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1987 and had a memorable comedy role Happy Gilmorecon Adam Sandler.

He was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series, for his work on the spinoff series Star Wars, The Mandalorian.

Weathers provided the voice of Combat Carl in the famous Pixar film, Toy Story and played a fictional version of himself in a recurring role on the series Arrested Development.
His other credits include the television series Street Justice, Colony, The Shield, Chicago Justice y BrothersIn addition to movies Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Death Hunt y The Comebacks.
A long career
Born on January 14, 1948 in New Orleans, Weathers played a variety of sports, including boxing, football, wrestling, and gymnastics.

While at San Diego State University he earned a bachelor’s degree in theater arts, but in 1970 he signed with the Oakland Raiders as a free agent and played eight games in the NFL over two seasons.
