Zaskia Mecca is once more sharing stories related to her holiday experience in Japan, Mother. This time, Hanung Bramantyo’s wife revealed the expectations of local residents when she wears Sharia clothing.
He shared this story in an upload on his personal Instagram account. In the post, he shows several moments when he was in ‘Sakura Country’, from the road, the station, to stopping at a cafe to buy coffee.
Quoting from caption what she wrote, Zaskia admitted that she had suspected that people there would think strange things when they saw her OOTD. In fact, he was worried regarding being the center of attention to the point where he felt uncomfortable.
“I was thinking regarding what it would feel like if I wore Sharia clothes in a non-Muslim country… would it look strange or not… comfortable or not, etc.,” he said, quoted from the account @zaskiadyamecca.
However, none of these allegations actually happened. While spending time there, Zaskia was very comfortable because she didn’t get any strange looks. The bonus was that he actually got lots of smiles and other friendly attitudes from the residents there.
“Eh, it turns out it’s really safe… there weren’t any stares I thought regarding before, instead there were lots of people nodding with smiles and other friendly gestures…” he explained.
This experience certainly made a big impression on Zaskia. He also admitted that he was very happy with the experience. “Happy!” said the star of The Seekers of God.

“God willing Be safe, Bia @zaskiadyamecca.. try going to the Kobe mosque in Osaka, there are lots of people wearing veils… and for 3 years we were there, the kids were safe, thank God they also went to school there… they just asked if it was hot or not in the summer, and it was strange with safety pins, ” continued @siti****.
