Two years later, Sylvie Vartan was the victim of another accident on an icy road at the entrance to the village of Roppe (Bourgogne-Franche-Comté). While she was on her way to a gala with Johnny Hallyday and three others, the vehicle driven by the French rock star skidded around a bend and plunged into a ditch. “I went through the windshield and I thought I was disfigured,” said the singer’s ex-wife.
“I was happy David wasn’t in the car”
“In the end, I had a very good operation. I was happy to have my life saved and that David [Hallyday, son fils, ndlr] was not in the car. In these serious moments, it was for him that I fought, not for my career. Afterwards, I went with him to the United States to have a second operation. » For his part, Johnny Hallyday escaped with only a broken nose.
Sylvie Vartan is now in a relationship with American producer Tony Scotti. The lovebirds, married since 1984, adopted a little girl named Darina in October 1997.
