Why did 47 years pass?

Because?
Jorge Domínguez Carrasco, was a Senior Master of Works with his project and construction studio on Talero Street in the city of Neuquén. He had friends from the left and the right. He was a member of the Intransigent Party and had worked in Public Works in the province and then in Cipolletti, where he joined the resistance during the Cipolletazo due to his friendship with Mayor Salto. He had a cartoonist linked to the army intelligence service, a cousin retired from the provincial police and many grateful friends and collaborators who without hesitation would have defended him if they might do so.

On January 31, 1977, when he was 34 years old, he was kidnapped from the work he directed by two armed and “well-dressed” cowards who handcuffed him and took him away in a Federal Police Falcon, where two other kidnappers were waiting. Since then he remains missing.

For 47 years we have been asking ourselves why? What she did? What national, provincial or local interests did Jorge affect with his daily work? How did he attack public safety from his construction study? How did he harm the leaders of the police and military services of that disastrous time?

Are the answers so obvious and the doubts regarding the justification of this inexplicable police-military action so many that one wonders whether it is still appropriate to call those gangs of criminals at the service of the most corrupt right-wing “intelligence” services? Is it okay for us to continue paying them their monthly salaries for tasks of dubious morality and social need? Is it appropriate that they share public buildings and official offices in the most significant places in our cities? If Jorge would ultimately forgive us for continuing to share spaces, for letting them walk freely through our streets, for continuing to call them “services” and what is even worse: “intelligence?”

Don’t you think so?
