Marika Gombitová is waiting for another one of many concerts in the Czech Republic on Tuesday evening. At the same time, there might have been much fewer of them, because she almost lost her life many, many years ago while returning from one performance in our territory.
Today in Prague, the second of the big January concerts of the popular Slovak singer Marika Gombitová will take place in the largest Czech hall, the O2 Arena. The first one took place two weeks ago. Dozens of tickets are still available for today’s performance.
Gombitová continues her singing career despite a serious injury she suffered more than 40 years ago in an accident while returning from one of her concerts in the Czech Republic. It happened on December 1, 1980 on the D2 highway in Břeclavsk.
