A painting worth more than 1,350 billion VND suddenly reappeared after 100 years

An Austrian family recently announced that they are the owners of a masterpiece of painting worth regarding 55 million USD (equivalent to more than 1,350 billion VND) made by famous artist Gustav Klimt. This family has kept the master painting in their family collection since the 1960s.

The painting has a name Portrait of Miss Lieser (Portrait of Lieser) will be put up for sale in April this year. Kinsky auction house, headquartered in Vienna (Austria), is the organizer of this special auction.

Currently, members of the Lieser family – the family who ordered this painting in the 1910s – have not commented or asked for the painting back. Some members of this family went to Vienna to directly admire the painting depicting the face of a woman of the family.

Artist Gustav Klimt (1862-1918) soon passed away from a stroke at the age of 55. He was considered one of the brightest lights illuminating modern Austrian art.
