It turns out that the game on PC and consoles has serious technical problems. The online mode basically doesn’t work and you can’t play ranked games. Players see error messages every now and then, and it seems that the crash took the game’s developers completely by surprise.
Interestingly, Bandai Namco conducted two beta phases of Tekken 8 online, so one might assume that all network functionalities had been thoroughly checked. Certainly no one suspected such an experienced team of making a mistake at the start, on all platforms.

Seriously, the online experience is terrible these days, so you should stay away from it.
Let’s hope that Bandai Namco will quickly deal with the problems and Tekken 8 will regain full functionality. The game has only been available for a few hours, so the team is probably working hard to get the game back on its feet.

And we did it! Information has just appeared on Twitter that the game’s producers have dealt with the described problems. Thanks to the actions carried out quickly and efficiently, the errors were removed and the online mode now works flawlessly.
