It’s been a year since Michael Frey was on a siding in Antwerp. From now on, the Swiss striker leaves Belgium.
Quoted in the Standard last summer, Michael Frey has officially found a way out. As expected, he signed for Queens Park Rangers in the Championship.
The 29-year-old Swiss striker leaves Antwerp 6 months before the end of his contract. The Great Old thus recovers a sum of money from this departure.
Michael Frey leaves Antwerp
Frey arrived in Belgium in October 2020, in Waasland Beveren. He then signed for Antwerp, where he would become one of the most effective strikers in the championship. In 82 Pro League matches, he scored 45 goals.
Since the arrival of Mark van Bommel, he gradually lost his place. The club loaned him in the second half of last season to Schalke 04. Since the start of this season, he was relegated to core B.
Michael Frey leaves RAFC and starts working in the English Championship at QPR. The Swiss attacker arrived at the Bosuil 2.5 years ago and has also played on a rental basis for Schalke 04 for six months. Now he is leaving for good.
