The extraordinary adventure of the Race of the Heart

From March 20 to 24, the Course du Cœur will return to the roads of France to raise awareness regarding organ donation, with 750 km between Paris and Bourg Saint-Maurice.

The Course du Cœur is a unique 750 km race between Paris and Bourg Saint-Maurice – Les Arcs. For 4 days and 4 nights, it brings together nearly 270 runners (employees of large companies or institutions), around a team of around fifteen transplant runners. The Course du Cœur also involves 150 volunteers to supervise the event, 60 to 80 km covered by each runner and more than 200 towns crossed.

For more than 36 years, they have been running for life

Each year, around fifteen transplant recipients from all organs constitute a crack team under the colors of the Trans-Forme association. Throughout the race, these organ donation ambassadors meet the public. They are surrounded by around fifteen teams, made up of employees from large companies, who are there to share this extraordinary human adventure with the transplant recipients.

The Heart Race has been organized since 1998 by Trans-Forme, the French Federative Association of Transplanted and Dialyzed Athletes. Founded in 1989, the Trans-Forme association aims to rehabilitate transplant patients and dialysis patients through physical and sporting activity, to raise public awareness of the success of transplantation and the need for organ and tissue donations. , and to promote medical-sports research in the fields of transplantation, dialysis and sport.
