Magdalena Łośko from the Civic Coalition took her parliamentary oath on Friday in the Sejm. The new MP takes over the mandate of Krzysztof Brejza, who decided to move to the European Parliament.
The oath took place at the beginning of Friday’s session of the Sejm, which began following 9 a.m. Marshal of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia read the oath. – So help me God – replied Magdalena Łośko.
– I confirm that MP Magdalena Łośko took the parliamentary oath. Madam MP, Congratulations – said Szymon Hołownia. – I would like to invite you for a courtesy coffee today – he added, turning to the newly minted MP.

Brejza goes to Brussels
At the beginning of January, Krzysztof Brejza, an MP from the Civic Coalition, announced that he was taking up a seat in the European Parliament following 16 years of working in the Polish Parliament. He will replace Radosław Sikorski, who was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs in the government of Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
In last year’s elections, Brejza ran for the Sejm from district no. 4, which includes, among others, Bydgoszcz and the area of Bydgoszcz, Inowrocławski, Mogilno, Nakło, Sępoleński, Świecie, Tuchola and Żnin poviats, and obtained 89,840 votes. Among the candidates of the Civic Coalition PO .N IPL ZIELONI electoral committee who did not get to the Sejm in this constituency, Magdalena Łośko received the highest result.

Magdalena Łośko – who is she?
Magdalena Łośko comes from Inowrocław, is a teacher by profession, she graduated from the Casimir the Great University in Bydgoszcz, majoring in pedagogy and rehabilitation counseling. She is also a graduate of postgraduate studies in administration and management at the Warsaw School of Economics.

Łośko was elected as a city councilor in Inowrocław in 2010, was re-elected in 2014 and 2018, and served as vice-chairwoman of the Inowrocław City Council. In the 2019 parliamentary elections, she was elected as a member of the 9th term of office from the Bydgoszcz constituency from the Civic Coalition list.
In the previous term of office of the Sejm, Łośko sat on the following committees: environmental protection, natural resources and forestry; senior policy and education, science and youth.
