Bearman, who is part of the Ferrari Driver Academy (FDA), will stand in alongside Giovinazzi and Schwartzman in the event of an unforeseen issue with a race driver.

Giovinazzi, a former Alfa Romeo F1 driver, and Schwartzman, who was appointed as a Scuderia reserve last year, will compete in the FIA ​​World Endurance Championship (WEC) in a Ferrari 499P hypercar alongside their reserve roles.

Charles’ younger brother, Arthur Leclerc, who left the FDA at the end of last season, has joined the development driver team that includes Antonio Focco and Davide Rigon.

Development Drivers are primarily required to work on the simulator to develop the machine, including updates during the season, and to work on setup for the weekend.

Alongside his role as development driver, Arthur Leclerc also competed in the Italian GT Championship with the Scuderia Baldini 27. Focco will drive the No. 50 499P in the WEC Hyper class, while Rigon will also compete in the WEC LMGT3 class with the Vista AF Corse GT3 team.

3-day test starts from 29th

Ferrari will take part in the Pirelli tire test at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya from Monday 29th January to Tuesday 30th January.

For the first two days, regular drivers Leclerc and Sainz will be at the wheel of last year’s SF-23. This will be Arthur Leclerc’s first F1 drive, as he will be driving the 2022 F1-75.

Bearman will be in charge of the third and final day alone.
