According to police, it is still unclear how the accident occurred. The 18-year-old was traveling on the B142 from Uttendorf towards Mauerkirchen shortly before 8 a.m. when he left the road to the right. He drove across an access ramp in the adjacent field – the car and its handlebars were catapulted around 15 meters through the air until it finally came to a stop in the middle of the field following around 100 meters.
The young driver suffered injuries but refused to be taken to the hospital.
