INVESTIGATION – Many practitioners abuse the platform with 60 million visits per month to make it a gateway to practices that might lead to sectarian abuses.
We would do well to call a psychologist to manage our relationship problems. Or to alleviate our depression, following the loss of a job or a loved one. After some research on the Doctolib platform, with 60 million visits per month, we came across a clinical psychologist, with visibly normal service records. “This consultation space belongs to you. We will move at your pace and go where you want. You are the captain of your ship and I will be there to accompany you on your journey”, is it written in the therapist’s presentation space. His training, on the other hand, attests to a certain exoticism. The lady is a yoga teacher, practices “biological decoding”. She was even trained in supporting women by a “holistic practitioner”close to the sacred feminine movement and «Mothers-Moons ». This controversial concept, halfway between personal development and esotericism, invites us to reconnect with our divine nature.
At the end of the introductory insert, a link directs us to the website of this “holistic therapist”, which is lurching dangerously towards pseudoscience and unconventional care practices (PSNC), which the government seeks to regulate. Vaginal steam bath at 300 euros, individual session at 80 euros on the “path of incarnation”, retreats and women’s circles… Spotted by an anesthetist-resuscitator from Ile-de-France whistleblower on, this psychologist is far from being the only one to proliferate on Doctolib. Research carried out by Le Figaro, have made it possible to identify many other professionals who offer, in addition to their traditional consultations, alternative care techniques. “It is a real danger for individuals who do not have enough information to make the right choice of specialist, and an unexpected calling card for charlatans and other gurus”laments an associative actor.
