What an evening: “Noisy” and “Grandson” almost caused the Viennese gasometer to explode with their incredible energy!

At some point “Grandson” suddenly appeared in a Spotify playlist and I thought, yes, I would like to see him live. The music sounded like it would be really fun on a stage. But then I forgot regarding it once more until the day the concert announcement popped up. finally grandson, yeah!

On the one hand, I had certain expectations and on the other hand, I mightn’t even imagine what a “Grandson” concert would be like. When I made a pilgrimage to the Gasometer that evening, I noticed that there was an incredible amount going on. uff. When there are large crowds of people, I always worry regarding whether I would get a good seat, especially because I’m so small and I always have to struggle with visibility restrictions. But then I didn’t have any time to think regarding it anymore, because “noisy“ went on stage promptly at 8 p.m. and now I had the task of watching the show!

In fact, “noisy” really hit the spot from the first second – he initially wore sunglasses, but at some point he took them off. That was sorely necessary, because the way he was jumping around and interacting with the audience, he mightn’t have kept his glasses on his nose any longer. In any case, “Noisy” was incredibly wild and the audience was absolutely ready to celebrate and throw their arms in the air. Warming up with “noisy” was a success!

and then came “grandson“ onto the stage and it was at least as full of energy as “noisy”. Whereby: in the first seconds of his appearance his energy was not yet apparent, as he sat down on a park bench next to a fictional forest in his stage world and murmured or sang to himself. But then, then he jumped up, wearing sunglasses and a jacket, and whizzed across the stage. What was noticeable: his ankle was particularly pronounced, it was really no longer normal how often and how much he jumped around.

Pretty quickly he got rid of his sunglasses and jacket – and a little later also his shirt. Of course he not only jumped around, he also danced a bit and he roared. Yes, his singing wasn’t always received by the audience as a song, sometimes he just roared. But that wasn’t a bad thing, it just added a few more emotions to his music. Of course he chatted every now and then, but his main job was actually jumping!

The audience reacted extremely positively to his stage performance – they cheered, clapped and swung their arms! But even more highlights followed: “Noisy” came on stage for a song and rapping together (you can’t call it singing anymore) was almost overwhelming. How much power can such a duo have please?!

But once it even got really quiet: for the number “Heather” “Grandson” went into the audience, which was full of cell phone lights, and in the middle of it he performed an emotional song. Unfortunately, I mightn’t follow this moment 100% because, due to my small height, I only saw outstretched arms and cell phone displays in front of me, but no (also rather small) singing “grandson”. that was a bit annoying. It was also annoying that the sound wasn’t always that good and sounded a bit tinny.

But otherwise this concert was really really good. “Grandson” hardly ever allowed himself a break and was constantly on the move from one corner of the stage to the other. my favorite songs “dirty” and “blood // water” were played and the audience even did a circle pit at one point. Heart, what do you want more?! In any case, I would recommend a “Grandson” show to everyone – he delivers and simply makes you happy!
