From January 30 to February 1, 2024, the 3rd edition of the Paris 2024 Recruitment Fair dedicated to disabled workers will take place, the essential meeting for candidates who wish to embark on this unique and grandiose adventure!
2,000 positions are to be filled throughout France and in many professions. Explanations by Chantal Lasnier, Director of Talents and Diversity of the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games (Cojop).
Q: This is the third edition of this online recruitment fair. Why did you want to organize an event dedicated to the employment of disabled workers within Cojop?
Chantal Lasnier : Thanks to this new edition of the virtual forum, our ambition is to let people with disabilities know that they have their place within our team and to offer them a tailor-made candidate experience. We have nearly 2,000 positions to fill by next summer, half of them in June or July. We want to give them as much space as possible so that they contribute to the success of the biggest event in the world. We provide them with all the support they need to succeed in their mission. In all our operational functions, we are looking for employees who will coordinate the activities carried out by our service providers: catering, transport, spectator management, accreditations, sports, technical management, etc.
Q: In which cities?
CL : Positions are to be filled in Ile-de-France but also, to a lesser extent, in Marseille, Nice, Lyon, Saint-Etienne, Lille, Châteauroux, Nantes or Bordeaux.
Q: What skills are in demand?
CL : They vary depending on the positions. There we find skills in operational coordination, customer relations, service provider management, Excel, languages (English, in particular). If you like the field, finding solutions, adapting to the unexpected, working in a team, don’t wait any longer to apply! Working within the committee is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills while experiencing a unique human adventure.
Q: How does this event fit into the values conveyed by Cojop?
CL : Inclusion is at the heart of the Paris 2024 vision. We are convinced that diversity and performance go hand in hand. Having teams made up of profiles with different training, life paths, strengths and weaknesses makes our project stronger and more innovative.
Obviously, by organizing the Paralympic Games, it seems natural to us to do everything to allow people with disabilities to participate in this fantastic adventure and contribute to changing the way we view disability, in sport and in the world of work. Because the employees who leave the committee following the Games will be formidable ambassadors for inclusion in business, particularly for disabilities.
Beyond this recruitment event, our entire disability policy is in line with the values of Paris 2024. For more than 5 years, through our disability mission, we have been collaborating with Agefiph to enable us to best arrange workstations when necessary, recruit, raise awareness and train managers in welcoming people with disabilities. We like to say that being disabled means being different like everyone else and that this difference is our collective wealth.
