Konrad Laimer was substituted in the final phase of FC Bayern’s 1-0 win in the catch-up game once morest Union Berlin.
As it now turns out, the Austrian national team player injured his calf. The 26-year-old has torn a muscle fiber and, according to the media, the tendon is also affected.
This means that Laimer has to take a break for up to six weeks.
Coach Thomas Tuchel was already worried immediately following the game: “I hope it’s as little as possible.” This hope was not confirmed.
