Organizations interested in boosting careers in sustainability can register until January 31st in a joint initiative between Microsoft and INCO Academy
São Paulo, January 24, 2024 – To enable nonprofit organizations to develop the capacity to educate their beneficiaries regarding careers in sustainability in the digital age, INCO Academy in partnership with Microsoft has opened free registration for the Green Digital Skills Training Program. The program is aimed at NGOs, and interested organizations can register through the INCO website, until 01/31. The program includes: two forms of membership:
- Content provision: Registration will provide access to downloadable training that can be included on e-learning platforms and offered to beneficiaries of participating NGOs. Visit the site for more information regarding the courses and to register your organization.
- Training of monitors and tutors: INCO will offer training for tutors and monitors from interested NGOs to be able to directly train their beneficiaries. Registration and information are available at site
By joining any of the programs, organizations will be able to impact the territories where they operate with the skills necessary to improve employability and create paths to sustainable careers. They will be able to become part of a global network of non-profit partners, which will allow Brazilian NGOs to drive local sustainable impact, simultaneously raising their reputation and making investment in green skills an advantage.
“This is a unique opportunity for nonprofits to harness the power of sustainable transformation in the digital age and impact their communities through education. This program offers excellent training for those who wish to make a positive impact on society, demonstrating that it is viable to integrate technology, sustainability and economic opportunities”, declares Lucia Rodrigues, Philanthropy leader at Microsoft Brazil.
In the course available for download, participants will have access to various content selected so that students can understand the environmental and social impact of digital technology; eco-design principles to implement sustainable practices in technology and digital work; ecological and sustainability-oriented career paths.
In the training for monitors and tutors, participants will receive support to manage the course, undergo training in instructional support tools and best practices, and have access to specific communication materials for recruitment.
It is worth noting that only non-profit organizations that have online learning programs for digital skills are eligible for these offers. Institutions must also be familiar with careers in the technology world. The approved NGOs will be contacted by the INCO team the following month, in February, so that at the beginning of March they can participate in workshops called “Train the Trainer”, which will be taught in English.
