Boring and not memorable.
Soviet actors had such a high level of skill that they were able to turn any film into a masterpiece. In any case, that’s what people think.
But there were also examples in the cinema of the USSR when even real masters did not save. The script turned out to be so weak that it was still impossible to watch the film.
A striking example is the children’s film “How We Searched for Tishka.” It starred Georgy Vitsin and Rina Zelenaya. But she is not at all memorable.
During an hour of screen time, a boy, a grandmother, a policeman and a doctor are looking for a lost bear cub. The plot seems to be classic for children’s comedies, but there are such absurdities that it is difficult to justify.
To begin with, the geologist father brings the bear cub to the apartment and leaves him to live in it. The decision is already controversial. Searches might be funny, but they are more likely to cause boredom, and simple jokes make you want to yawn. And even the presence of brilliant actors does not help: they have nothing to play.
