Mr. Zelensky is determined to eliminate internal disputes

Speaking in a video on the evening of January 22, President Zelensky said that government officials met with Ukrainian business representatives on the same day.

“The discussion was not easy. There are some serious issues. There are real difficulties. I have worked out the details and asked (representatives) for the necessary background to ensure that any between government officials, businesses and law enforcement agencies is resolved,” he said.

“Everyone can have their own opinion, yes, but in times of war we must all unite behind one mission – the strength of Ukraine, the strength of its society and economy me”.

Mr. Zelenskyy added that all developments will be presented at the National Defense and Security Council.

On January 19, the Pechersk District Court, at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office, detained Ihor Mazepa, an investment banker and founder of Concorde Capital, on alternative bail in the amount of 349 million UAH (equivalent to 9.3 million USD).

On January 18, the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) arrested Ukrainian businessman and founder of investment company Concorde Capital, Ihor Mazepa, while he was crossing the Ukraine-Poland border. On the morning of January 19, SBI confirmed Mazepa’s detention.

SBI arrested businessman Ihor Mazepa for illegal privatization of land plots in Kiev province. The case file lists Mazepa as “the mastermind behind the land acquisition”.

On the night of January 21-22, Mazepa’s house burned down.

Mazepa’s lawyers filed an appeal once morest the ruling of Kyiv’s Pechersk District Court on January 19.

The business movement Manifesto 42 announced the temporary closure of businesses as a warning to the government if it continues to ignore the “arbitrariness of the rear security forces”.
