Your decision has consequences – especially on your salary.
After just three days it was over once more: Cora Schumacher was the first candidate to leave the RTL jungle camp – at her own request. The why remained unanswered until now. But the decision will cost the ex-wife of Formula 1 star Ralf Schumacher dearly, because a significant part of the originally agreed fee is now to be reduced.
As “Focus” reports, there has been a new clause at RTL since 2004: Anyone who leaves the show early only receives half of their salary. Cora Schumacher should only receive half of the agreed 200,000 euros.
“RTL learned from it”
The special rule is called the “Dolly Clause” and has to do with ex-porn star Dolly Buster. When Buster moved to the jungle camp almost ten years ago, on the first day of her stay there was an argument with the future jungle queen, Desirée Nick. And although Buster only spent twelve hours on the show “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!” was there, she received the full fee.
However, Buster’s early move out led to a conflict with the German broadcaster: As the now 54-year-old revealed in an interview, her lawyer was able to prevent her from losing part of her salary. “I didn’t get good legal advice – in the end my twelve hours in the camp were just enough. But RTL learned from it and introduced this clause following I left,” said Buster “Watson” in 2020.
