After a qualifying session that took place yesterday at the Daytona International Speedway circuit, in Florida, United States, the Mexican driver Patrick O’Ward and his team, achieved pole position in the LMP2 category, so they will have the opportunity to start from first place in the Daytona 24 Hours race scheduled to be held next Saturday.

The Monterrey native, who in 2017 became the youngest driver to win the 24H Daytona when he was only 17 years old, will participate with the prototype marked with the number 2, belonging to the United Autosport team.

Likewise, it is worth noting that being a full-day format, the race is carried out with several drivers, all of them professionals. In his case, O’Ward will accompany Ben Keating, Nico Pino and Ben Hanley.

This will be the fourth participation of Pato O’Ward in this endurance competition, where he already has two wins.
